Movers & Shakers

Movers & Shakers is an enrichment class designed for little learners between the ages of one month and three years (1 month to 3 years) and their caregivers. Skills acquired and growth attained in the first three years of life have been shown to significantly impact all areas of a child’s well being, including future scholastic success. Every class consists of sensory exploration including music, movement, and sensory art projects and play, gross motor activities to meet milestones like crawling, walking and jumping in conjunction with obstacle courses, and fine motor tasks such as crafts that are tied to developmentally appropriate early childhood literacy and books. This helps babies and toddlers preceding preschool set the foundation to have the sensory, motor, visual perceptual, cognitive, and social skills they will need for the rest of their lives.
Sensory Savvy Readers

Our Sensory Savvy Readers programs are designed to cultivate reading and writing skills within a social environment while including activities that emphasize the motoric components necessary for optimal learning at school. These learning enrichment classes are for children between the ages of three and seven (3-7), and students are grouped by year to appropriately meet their developmental needs at every stage. Each class consists of a theme bound together by games, sensory and motor tasks, writing practice, a book, and a craft. These engaging activities allow children to directly improve their fine motor, gross motor, visual perceptual, cognitive, sensory regulation, and social skills for success in school, and beyond it.
Handwriting Classes

Handwriting continues to be one of the most important means for children to communicate and express their understanding of educational material in school. It is an integral aspect of early literacy in children, and impacts learning throughout the lifespan. There is a deep connection between handwriting and development in an educational setting. Writing by hand increases how fast children read, their ideation, and their memory, all of which promote academic success. Our handwriting courses address developmental and physiological considerations in accordance with an occupational therapy framework to strengthen your child’s writing abilities and school performance.
